RCS
Sports' Spring IceBreaker (SIB) is the
nation's largest "non-tournament"
basketball event of the non-scholastic
season. Last year's SIB drew 120
teams from around the country. To
learn
more about the SIB click here.
The BBC will be at the IceBreaker to share with players,
parents, coaches and fans, the exciting things that we
will be doing in the arena of prep basketball.
We are also
offering some SIB specials. Stop by our table, we
look forward to meeting you.
Mar 5 - Justin
Handy Rated by The BBC
The
BBC has been evaluating Justin Handy, Class of 2009,
from North Shore HS. We have assigned him our first
player rating, Justin, a first team All-District
selection and leading scorer of the Mustangs, receives 3
and 1/2 stars. This places Justin in the
Low-major/D2/NAIA category.
The BBC believes
Justin has the potential to improve his stock and a D1
JC might just fit the bill. Click the image above to
see Justin in action.
ct 3 - NCAA Division II
Approves Two Texas Colleges Two Texas
colleges, the
University
of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa and Texas A&M
International University in Laredo, have been approved
as new active members of the NCAA Division II. Both
schools will compete in the
Heartland Conference. These additions along with 10
others brinfs the number of NCAA Division II
institutions to 308 with a number of schools still in
the approval process.
More schools mean more available
scholarships for aspiring student athletes. NCAA
Division II basketball programs are limited to 10
scholarships.
